Martin Luther King, Jr.

Martin Luther King, Jr., devoted his life to helping people who were poor, disadvantaged, and racially oppressed in the United States. He was born in Atlanta Georgia, United States in 1929. He entered Morehouse College without graduating from high school and got Bachelor of Divinity at Boston University. He was motivated by Montgomery Bus Boycott, which was caused by the conflict of giving up a seat between a black woman and a white man. His hero was Abraham Lincoln. King won the Nobel Peace Prize, saying that “Freedom is one thing. You have it all or you are not free.” in 1964. He also gave a famous speech, “I Have A Dream” to inspire black people to pursue their rights.
